full program. The curriculum and experiential aspects of the Seasonal Wellness
program build cumulatively season-to-season, helping you build a foundation of
wellness that is essential for living life more fully.

Seasonal Wellness! We invite you to join us our next workshop! The "Taste"
workshops, as we like to call them, are designed to help you attune to the
seasons. What does it mean to attune to the seasons? Learn to live with more
vibrant health and less stress by moving with the energy of each season, eating
what the earth naturally offers up to nourish certain organs in the body, and
play with new concepts, ideas, and experiences to enhance your overall
well-being!
AUTUMN 2008 Offerings - Wednesday, November
12 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Sunday, November 16 from 3:30 PM to
5:30 PM - Taste of Seasonal Wellness: Fall Into Your Self! Tune
into the Autumn season with two hours of soul nourishment and renewal...
- Explore the meaning of color in meditation
- Get grounded with breathing and yoga exercises (no
prior yoga experience required)
- Discover your elemental type (metal,
water, wood, fire, earth)
- Connect with autumn herbs and food
- Take home recipes
- Enjoy a tasting of seasonal fare
The first offering on Wednesday,
November 12 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM meets at The Retreat at Hot Body Cool Mind
in Center City Philadelphia, just a block walk east of Rittenhouse Square. The
cost is $88. The Retreat is located at 1616 Walnut Street in Suite 1407.
Register The second offering on Sunday,
November 16 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM meets at the home office of Enlightening
Souls in Wayne, Pennsylvania. The cost is $66. Enlightening Souls is located at
110 Pugh Road in Wayne, and is set in a beautiful wooded area 45 minutes outside
downtown Philadelphia.

Winter is the season of stillness. The
earth encourages us indoors with cold temperatures, ice, and snow. Days become
shorter, darker. The element of winter is water, the emotion fear. Winter rules
our Kidneys and Bladder, which connect us deep down to our bones. It is the
season of the soul, a time to find peace, tranquility, freedom from stress, and
equanimity.

anger. Spring rules our Liver and Gall Bladder, which together aid most bodily
systems facilitating metabolism, detoxification. It is the season of renewal, a
time to let go of old habits, patterns and beliefs which no longer serve us
well.

Summer is
the season of growth. Flowers blossom and fruits ripen as the sun's strength
peaks. Summer brings maturity and satisfaction. The element of summer is fire,
the emotion joy. Summer rules our heart and small intestine, which regulate
heart rhythm, circulation, and the absorption of nutrients. It is the season of
truth and knowing. Late summer, also known as Indian Summer, occurs in between
summer and fall. Late summer's element is earth which influences digestion
through the Stomach and Spleen. It is a time to find our center and connect with
our true self.

reflection and assessment.
